Jude Sunderbruch serves as the Managing Director for Cyber Defense Labs. He leads our teams providing management consulting services on internal and external threats and business risks related to cybersecurity.

Jude joined Cyber Defense Labs after 30 years of public service. He served most recently as the Executive Director of the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), a federal cyber center, as a member of the Senior Executive Service. He previously served in numerous leadership roles globally as a special agent of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), where he focused on national security and insider threat

risk management. Prior to his assignment at DC3, he was deputy to the AFOSI commander, responsible for finance, human resources, information technology, security, and partner engagement.

Jude retired as a colonel in the Air Force Reserve, where he was a Joint Qualified Officer, Foreign Area Officer and cyber officer. He served in deployed leadership roles in Bosnia-Herzegovina as an officer, and in Iraq as a civil servant. He also served in joint duty assignments detailed to FBI Cyber Division and with US Cyber Command, at US Embassy, Paris, France, and at US European Command.

Jude is a distinguished National Defense University graduate with a Ph.D. in public policy from George Mason University. He received awards or decorations from the National Counterintelligence Executive, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the Air Force, NATO, and the French Minister of Defense. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
